Dr Sheyne

Veterinarian and Hospital Director (BVSc Hons)

After graduating from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Sheyne has worked in the industry for over 18 years. Sheyne has been a part of the Bayview team since 2000 and has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery on small animals. Sheyne enjoys kicking the soccer ball with his two sons, and dreams of one day holidaying on a Tropical Island.


Dr Madeline

Veterinarian (BVSc Hons)

Dr Madeline joined our team of vets early 2019 and we are loving having her as part of our team. She graduated from the University of Queensland with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Honors. Maddie and her Husband Matt have bought a home here in Hervey Bay and are enjoying life in the bay. In her spare time Maddie enjoys taking their 2 dogs, Louie and Gwen, for walks on the beach or having cuddles with her cats, Hobbes and Felix. 


Dr Hanna

Veterinarian (BVSc Hons)

Dr Hanna is the newest addition to our Bayview Veterinary Team and is quickly becoming a favourite among our patients. Hanna graduated with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons) from the University of Queensland and joined Bayview at the beginning of the year.

Hanna is originally from Finland and has a border collie named Laku (Liquorice). She loves having the beach so close by and enjoys walks with Laku. 


Dr Cally

Veterinarian (DVM)

Dr Cally is excited to join the Bayview vet team after working in Melbourne for the last few years in a busy small animal practice. She has relocated with her partner and two dogs, Billie and Lunar, and is looking forward to living so close to the beach and getting sunnier weather. Dr Cally is passionate about providing quality care to all her patients, and looks forward to meeting lots of new faces (human and furry!) in Hervey Bay.


Ann

Practice Manager (Cert IV Veterinary Nurse)

Having spent over 10 years working at Bayview Vets (joining us in 2006), Ann has been Veterinary Nursing for approximately 27 years. She graduated in 1991 from the Ithaca college of TAFE.  Ann is a Hervey Bay local born and bred, now married with 3 beautiful boys and a property at Susan River, stocked with cattle, some pigs, chooks and 3 dogs. Ann loves that clients at Bayview feel like family!!


Kirsty

Senior Vet Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nurse, Advanced Diploma of Veterinary Nursing)

Kirsty has been vet nursing for over 10 years, and started with us in 2012. She loves that vet nursing is a hands on occupation, allowing teamwork and close contact with animals and their owners. A delightful daughter and gorgeous son, along with horses, sheep dogs, cats, chooks, ducks and baby joeys, keep Kirsty busy while she’s at home. When she isn’t caring for injured and orphaned wildlife, Kirsty likes hooking up the caravan and heading off on holidays!


Rachael

Senior Vet Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nurse)

Joining the team 10 years ago in 2009, Rachel completed her Certificate IV of Veterinary Nursing from the Animal Industries Resource Centre in 2012.
Rachael really enjoys all aspects of being a veterinary nurse. She thoroughly enjoys the warm, friendly connections formed with clients and loves providing the best care to pets when they are not feeling their best, often handing out kisses and cuddles to all our four legged friends.
Rachael has two dogs called Digger and Trix (both Kelpies) and a cat Inky that keep her on her toes, not to mention loving life as a mum to Theo and Charlie her beautiful sons.
Rachael enjoys travelling and camping whenever she can and she thoroughly enjoys her horse riding and dancing.

 


Olivia

Senior Vet Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nurse)

Olivia started working at Bayview Vets in early 2015 and completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2017.  She loves seeing the moment when a pet is re-united with their loving humans after a short or long stay with us. Olivia is busy with her two children, Blake and Zayda, along with Zorko the cat, Mr Lucy the dog, Allan the bird, and a guinea pig called Snowy. Olivia loves live music, AFL and the beach, and hopes to see more of Europe one day with her husband Darren.


Leigh

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)

Leigh has worked as a vet nurse for over 6 years. She moved to Hervey Bay and joined Bayview Vets at the end of 2016. Leigh has a particular interest in animal behaviour.  She has a dog, Lucy, and two cats, Lily and Baby Cat, at home along with her two beautiful young boys!! Leigh enjoys fishing, camping and surfing in the great outdoors.


Zoe

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)

Zoe started at Bayview Vets in September 2016, and before  joining us, she worked at Kingfisher Bay on Fraser Island. Zoe has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and likes the feeling of helping care for pets as they recover. Her favourite place she has travelled is The Lakes District in England and has 2 toy poodles, Dobby and Coco and a staffy named Molly.


Dakota

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Dakota is one of our newest members of the Bayview Family as she begins her training to be a Veterinary Nurse. She joined Bayview Vets in 2018. Dakota has always had a passion for animals and is an active soccer player in her spare time. At home she has Smudge the Cat and a snake called Brutus Eeeeek!!


Nicki

Trainee Veterinary Nurse (Cert 2 -Animals Studies)

Nicki moved to Hervey Bay from Hamilton, New Zealand to join the Bayview Team in May 2018. Her dog Trix, cat Eeeve and horse Nemo all flew over with her to live on the lifestyle block that Nicki and her husband Aaron have brought here. Nicki previously worked in a veterinary clinic in New Zealand and has two National Certificates in Equine. Nicki has always had a passion for animals and loves being able to work in this industry. In her spare time Nicki enjoys competing with her horses, competing in agility and tricks with her dogs and going for walks along the beach with her fur family.


Trix

(Health & Well-being Officer)

Trix is a familiar face to many. Not only does he spend most days providing the staff with cuddles and kisses in the staff room he has also featured on social media promotions, at clinic information nights and you may have even spotted him, on the kids show 'Totally Wild'.

Trix loves agility, performing tricks and going to the beach and is always the first to put his paw up to perform quality control of clinics treats.
